About John

Prior to joining the firm, John had practiced in the area of estate planning advising families in North Dakota and Minnesota. Additionally he worked for a large accounting firm where he specialized in estate and gift tax and helped design plans for high-net-worth individuals to maximize their state and federal estate tax exemptions.

John grew up on a livestock farm, raising primarily sheep, near Barrett Minnesota and was very active in 4-H. John’s first job off the family farm was milking cows for a local dairy farmer.

John lives in Grand Forks, ND with his wife and two daughters. When he is not chauffeuring his kids and watching their activities, John enjoys golfing, hiking, traveling and hunting.
